First Christmas gitters

Merry Christmas again...
Well we have returned from our trip to Georgia for Ben's first Christmas. We had such an amazing time...lots of pictures were taken, however, the camera was left back in the peach state. The top picture was our first Christmas experience with little Ben. He was dressed in his Santa suit and met old Kris Kringle for the first time in downtown St. George. It was a cold winter's night and no tears were shed after meeting jolly old St. Nick. Ben did wonder who this jolly old man was that dressed like him, but he was sweet enough not to say anything to the man. We got our picture taken outside Santa's house.
Our plane trip to Georgia was a smooth one. We took the red eye, which was perfect with the little babe. I gave him a bath and put him in his PJ's before we left so he was set for the 4-hour flight. Coby took his meds and did pretty good--although, I don't remember much because Ben and I slept the whole way there.
We got to Georgia about 7 a.m., Georgia time and my parents were waiting there with cameras in hand. It was like the paparazzi when we got to the top of the escalator and my mom saw little Ben. We gathered our bags and headed to Waffle House. Mmmm...there's nothing like a good start to the holidays! We spent the first day there running errands for my Christmas presents and then met some of my friends for dinner. We kept Ben on the same time schedule as here so the transitions wouldn't be a bear for only a four day trip. It worked well--mainly cause we got to sleep in till 10 a.m., since that was his normal 8 a.m. wake up time here.
On Saturday we drove to South Carolina to visit my mom's side of the family. My aunts, uncles and cousins ate Ben up. He was held all the time, until I rescued him and gave him some free time playing on the floor. The whole trip on the plane (both ways) and the long trip to and fro SC, Ben was perfect--never crying. We can't believe what an angel is truly is. Honestly, I think he knew that Santa was still watching. We opened presents on Christmas Day really late. We had to wait for my new little nephew, Gabriel, to get to my mom's house. It was about 7 p.m. when we opened presents. Ben was napping, so he missed all the fun. He was spoiled. I had one piece of luggage that just had all his toys.
We opened our presents and did our little family Christmas when we got back to St. George Wensday night. It was a lot of fun! Ben got a lot of books. That's what I wanted him to get since he really can't play with toys yet and besides, I knew he'd get toys from other family members. He loves to read and hold the books. He said he can't wait for Christmas to come again next year! (He wants a little sister).
Well... I'll be posting the results of his 6-month check-up soon. Much love, the Washington Hunts.

Merry Christmas to all...
We were so happy that all of us were able to get together during Laura's wedding. It was so fun to see the 2006 male cousin-trio together and to have all four 2006 Hunt babies together in a photo (although Zoie, whom I always refer to as Sage-- don't ask). It was a special thing for me to have a "cousin photo" with Christmas in the background because that's something we always did growing up--- it's actually the only pics I have of me with my cousins. I have also attached the debut of Ben's mohawk. We really liked it and are considering that look for our family photos. Speaking of family photos, our Christmas card pic is included in this entry-- since the cards are still on my table. Although they're addressed, they won't get to you before the new year--most likely. :)
We are headed out to Georgia this Thursday night. I am so excited and Coby has finally secured his medicine to be able to fly. Of course we've never flown with a baby before, so I am hoping and praying for a good experience. Needless to say Ma and Pa Prichard are more than thrilled to see little Ben again-- 13 pounds heavier and a lot longer than the last time they got to see him. I am excited for Coby to experience my family's Christmas traditions--- which involve eatin' real well!!
We'll have lots of fun pics to add once we get back... and if we don't see you again before we leave, which is most likely, have a Merry Christmas.
Does anyone want to get together for a New Year's party??

hunt family reunion for a union...

hello family near and far! it was so nice to see everyone this last weekend. It was really nice to meet all of josh's neat family and i'm sure you'll all agree. eric and i have decided not to have children. we think it is best to just spoil the neices and nephews, since we have the cutest in the world, and then turn them back in to their parents. i'm just kidding, of course. we want children more than anything in this world. but seriously, i have so much love in my heart for all of my neices and nephews. Eric told me that i can't get too sappy, so enough of that. anyway, christmas is a coming and i can't wait. i was just filling out one of silly email questionaire things and it reminded me of one or two of my favorite christmas memories. 1-coby and jeff got really excited and told us all to run outside to see santa's sleigh, or at least rudolphs nose. we all ran out on that skinny side walk in front of the house in Moapa and looked in the sky. of course it was an airplane, but i was so excited to see santa and rudolph. i can't believe i fell for it!! 2-i loved eating chili and drinking Dad's rootbeer down in the basement. we would stay up watching christmas movies and waiting for Santa to come or the parents to go to bed, whichever came sooner. i loved that. it makes me miss being a little kid with my brothers adn sister. good thing we still have each other. just a quick note to let you all know how much we love you!

oh yeah! rocks for our fi...whatever we got! xo

Santa Ethan

Is this the Cutest little Santa You've ever seen? Ethan wasn't a huge fan of his Santa costume but dad and mom thought he looked CUTE!!! I think Ashley said it best...HO HO Wahhhh!!!

Update on Ethan

Hey Fam.

We took Ethan in for his check up today and the doc said he's healthy as can be. The numbers are as follows: Height: 23inches (95 percentile), Weight: 8lbs. 6.5 ounces (25th percentile)...Long story short, hes a tall skinny boy...perfect build for a point guard. I'm sure I told a few of you that one of his boys hadn't dropped into the basket when he was born. It finally dropped in over the weekend so now our boy is officially normal and healthy.

p.s. It was crazy fun to be in St. George with you all this weekend. We loved being around our family all together again after such a long break. We'll defiantly be up a few more time next year.

What a Great Legacy Our Dad and Mom has given us

Well done Lou, we all were there to see our little sis. get married. The red in the text is in honor of her day. What a good couple and how the Lord must have brought them together. We had a challenging time with the kids and all. As you can see even though we are all still in this picture Ryland is running. I don't know how my wife does it but she is amazing. I would like to strangle the kids in a few minutes. We sure love our family but with all that is happening in all of our lives none of us should be afraid to take those risks of success. So go forword with faith knowing the Lord will be with you whether in GA, MT, SD, AZ, NC you get what I mean.
Look at little Ethan Joseph practicing his baller faces, he was born to play b-ball. It is so awesome and says something for our parents that despite what we have been through we have all done well and we will need each other down the road. We love all you guys and pray the best for you. Love The Jeff and Terra Hunt family.

Roberts Rockin RRRRupdate!!

hello family! it is so great to see pictures of everybody and to hear how everyone is doing. we keep in pretty good touch with most of the family, but this really gives us a chance to see pics of the little chillins and hear different stories that we wouldn't hear otherwise. as you all know, eric got a 95 on his pcat. that means that he was in the 95th percentile of the students that took the test. (they say 75% is competitive.) that doesn't really promise us a place in any school, but it certainly ups our chances. we are applying to Creighton (omaha),south dakota state (brookings), U of montana (missoula), and a school in Glendale. my hopes are for Glendale, but i will go where ever the dear Lord blesses us to go. eric has started the long process of applying and now it will just be the wait and see game for us. it will probably take until may or june for us to even find out anything. and so it goes....we had a blast at thanksgiving. it was so much fun. we just got back from the annual Hunt family christmas party and that was a hit, as usual. aunt maries house is beautiful. laura is getting married on saturday and i can hardly believe it. that went fast and our littlest sister will now be moving to north carolina and become a wife. that is crazy. i'm grateful i have been blessed to spend so much time with my family. i am not going to stop crying when the time comes that we have to move. i get choked up even typing that. i will miss my little neices and nephews so much. i guess life goes on, right? we just keep on keepin...i love you all and hope to hear from you all soon.much love, sarap.s. remember to keep mom in your prayers!
