Things are great in the Ol' Nawth' State

Hello Hello Hello Family!

Sorry it has taken us so long to post on here. It has been a crazy and exciting time for us. I quit my job at Food Lion. I couldn't take working there any more. People get ill over the littlest things, oh yeah, and apparently I'm racist. For Valentine's Day, Joshy Woshy gotstame a Bunsy Wunsy. Can you say pukey wooky? haha. I named Dr. Pepper. As a joke Josh called him Bun Bun, so that name kind of just stuck. We sometimes call "it" craphead, because it craps all over the place. Atleast it is one general area. It has peed on me twice. It's hot and thick, yummy!

I got a new job at New Garden Nursery. I'm a cashier there. It's really fun. I like the people that I work with and that I learn about plants all day. I saw my first slug. Josh said that I should have put salt on it. They melt. Yummy again!

Josh was stressing out looking for an internship for the summer so he could graduate in Dec. Well, after much prayer and fasting he got one. He applied for a Residential Counselor postion with a non-profit organization called Youth Unlimited. It's a "Christian" group home for troubled teens. He got the job and is using it as his internship. He is going to still work at the movies too. So we lucked out that he got a "paid" internship in a sense.

We are getting supa' dupa' excited for summer. Hot weather has finally come to North Cack o' lacky. The Sheets family live like high rollers for one week each summer. They save for the whole year and have a week long par-tay. This year is going to be great. We are staying in this house on the Outer Banks of NC:

It has been a crazy time in North Carolina with basketball season. The Tarheels won the ACC Championship. Wooohooooo! They are kicking butt and taking names in the NCAA tournament. We are praying that they beat Georgetown this afternoon. Even our bunny likes the Tarheels:

I got my haircut and dyed yesterday. It was a little frizzy today so I put it up and took a picture. I will take a better picture later.

An older man today told us that we should have babies now. He told us to have kids and grow up with them. Then he told us about almost dying in Japan. How the two relate I don't know. But I have been asking my husband all day what he thought of that. He told me that if I thought that was a message from Heavenly Father, then he should join the military since the guy talked about war for 90% of the time.

We love you all and hope you are doing well. We thought we would leave you with some pictures and a few videos.

The testimony of my brother Jordan on a mission in Canada

I don’t know how to tell you in words but I love Jesus Christ. He is truly our best friend. When we fall... he picks us up. He lifts our weary bodies upon his shoulders and carries us and our struggles. I love him so much. He lives! This mission puts a lot of things in perspective for me about myself and what I am meant to do for these people. For all I know I walk into people homes and start moving my mouth and the spirit speaks though me. I don’t know any doctrine. I have only read the Book of Mormon 3 times and that’s ever since I was in the MTC. I am nothing. I am merely the hammer that God uses to drive the spirit into peoples hearts. Why do I love this mission so much? I feel like I’m helping to make a difference. Baptizing isn’t my focus anymore. Obedience is my focus. All I have to do is listen to God and whatever He wants to happen will happen. It’s that simple. He created the earth, He created me and He is the almighty. What can’t He do? He can do anything, and so can we if we have faith and are obedient. That’s all it takes. Faith, obedience and endurance. Those 3 things enable the power of God to guide His children back into his kingdom where He waits with open arms. Ready to embrace us and say "well done". I am excited for that day!! I feel like I’m working towards it. It’s so exciting; there is hope to all of this craziness. I love you all. Keep smilingElder Big J Honey suckles

Our first family photos...

Well, I tried for awhile to get my text to go below our photos, but I couldn't get my HTML codes right...so, I don't know how you do it Ash-- but kudos to you and pass on your secret!!

Here's what I wanted to say with our family photo entry:

It only took us 9 months, broken camera equipment, closed portrait studios, an extremely messy diaper, 100 mph wind and fading daylight to finally have some family photos for our home and to share!! (Who knew it would be this crazy!?!)

Well...there are a few things we'd like to say:

1. Good luck Eric on your interview tomorrow!!!

2. Happy Birthday (Saturday) Ashley!! You get to be pinched and spanked on your birthday--- LUCKY GIRL!!

3. CONGRATS to Jeff & Terra on closing on their new home!! We look forward to making lots of memories at YOUR home!

Little man...

We have finally found someone to shoot our family photos, so an update family photo will be coming shortly. However, I couldn't resist the opprotunity to post my new favorite pic of Ben. He has started to scoot towards toys that he wants as well as dancing. He loves to dance (a.k.a. jerk is body around) to our song for him and any music that he hears. He is still the happiest baby I have ever known and loves life. We are looking forward to the warmer weather ahead so that we can go explore the huge world he has yet to see and know!!!

The Office

By the time I got back to it, it had turned into my neighbors dog. Extroidinary events call for extroidinary actions, we form an allegiance to use sudden violence. Do you have the tools to turn a wooden mop handle into a stake?
