My Boys

These are the men in my life. I sure love them. Aren't they cute!

Clear in Greer

We made the trek to Greer this weekend. After seeing how clear and pretty it is there, I realized how smoggy and brown it is here! The sky in Greer is actually blue, whereas here, it's brownish grey. Oh well, pollution isn't going anywhere soon so I guess I better get used to breathing it. Joe is working on the marketing for a golf course/ housing community there. SO WE took a golf cart out there and drove all around. I had no idea how fun it is to ride around in a golf cart. Ethan had a blast too! Who knew?

Then Joe threw Barbie out of the golf cart and made her run for about 8 holes. She's a fast little sucker and she kept up real well. It was pure entertainment! Let's just say she was pooped afterwards.

What's happen'

I haven't loaded any new photos to our computer and so I just decided to post an old one of Coby playing with Ben's blocks.
We jopurneyed out to Pinaca yesterday to attend one of Coby's good friends, Christopher Lee's funeral. It was a great funeral and even though I didn't know him or had the chance to meet him-- I knew he was a great person by the people he was surrounded by. Coby and Brett Lee sang a song that Coby and Chris wrote together in Puppet. They sang it at the graveside dedication. It was so beautiful. I also recently attended a funeral in Logandale. That was my first trip to the stompin' grounds of the Hunt family. I must say... between those two funerals, I am starting to learn more and more about their lives there. It is fun to meet people that I only know through countless stories.
I hope to never go to Pinana again... except to shoot photos out in Modena. They have some wonderful spots for some of the scenic photography that I like to do.
Here's a brief look at what's going on with us:
Coby-- We are hoping that he gets a job that he interviewed for last week to work for the St. George Police Department. We're keeping the faith, that even though he may not have all the office skills as others... that he'd be perfect for the job. We find out tomorrow (Mon.). We just want to be done with Loomis. He is also going to work for Aaron again, part-time a few nights a week. Other than that...he's working on some songs with some friends of ours in our ward to sing in two weeks at Cotton Days here in Washington. We'll let you know the time when we find out in case you want to come. He had set a goal at the beginning of the year to read a book a month... and read so many so fast that he doesn't have to pick up a book till July.
Me: I am staying busy working part-time and doing freelance work for The Spectrum and St. George Magazine. I have also started to write a book. I actually started it in March, so I have been working on it for just a little over a month. It's called, "My Average American Life." I am having a lot of fun with it and will write for one year. I am currently looking for a publisher, which is harder than I thought. Other than that, I am also started to put together a second book project. I haven't titled it yet, but it is an entirely different beast. It's not one that I am writing, but one that I am designing. For this project, I am going to contact Desert Books about a publishing deal. Both of these projects are still outside of the book that will make me a millionaire---"Utah Hair" (a pop-up book). I have to find out how to make a pop-up book..... and that is TOUGH. Other than that, I stay really busy playing and raising little Ben and Coby. Trying new recipes, working in scouts, laundry, other chores and reading.
Ben: He's getting two teeth on the top... they are about a 1/4 of the way out and I think I might have saw another one on top. I'll check again tomorrow. He's crawling EVERYWHERE! This morning Coby and I were in our kitchen fixing breakfast and he crawled up the step into the kitchen to be with us. It was so cute and so amazing to see him take that step. He's been halfway on the step for weeks and finally just moved his little bum all the way up. He is getting so big and talking so much. He still only says dad, but his other babble is amazing. He was such a champ on our little trip yesterday. When we got back to Grandpa Steve's house, we played with Charlie. He absolutely adores that dog. Each time the puppy pounced his way over to Ben, he just giggled and made his happy fists. We are going on another road trip this week and hope that our little trooper is just as good. We can't believe he'll be one in two months. I have no idea where this year has gone. We are going to Georgia this summer for his first birthday. The Braves are in town on his birthday, so I want to go there, then to the laser show at Stone Mountain and to the large fish place.... I can't think of the name right now. We will also have a big party here as well.

That's about it for now. I want to say that Laura and Josh's goals are admirable and that they better meet us in Georgia!! I am finding new athletic shoes and will start to excercise again and will do a 5k by the end of the year. My goal is to do a triathlon next year. Since I have moved here to St. George, my exercise days have really not been in existance, so I have to change that...especially before I have another baby.

KEEP POSTING.... we sure do love each of you so much!!!

Commit to get fit 2007

Joshua and I went for a walk yesterday and then today and realized that we were out of breathe at the end of it. We have a little less than 10 weeks to the beach and as a couple we are committing to losing 20 pounds---10 each. We want to get our beach bodies going so we are ready to soak in the sun.

  • We are committing to stop drinking caffeine and eventually soft drinks all together.

  • We are going to walk at least 10 miles a week.

  • Eating our daily serving of fruits and vegetables which is highly overlooked

  • We are stopping eating out to save $$ and our waist line

  • We are going to exercise in some form everyday (When we get into a new apartment with a fitness center)

  • Eating less red meat and following a Men's Health Diet to turn our flab into flat (or "fab")

  • Eating breakfast and having an "hour of power" (Reading Scriptures)

We felt that putting this out to the family would better motivate us to keep our commitment. If anyone would like to join us or shout out any fitness goals they have to the WHOLE family feel free.

welp we love and miss all of yall! talk to you soon hopefully we can get Tyler on and dad on this thing! I want to hear how Tyler is doing from Tyler!

love ya see ya bye

Miss the FAM!

After seeing everyone's fun pictures, Joe and I feel so sad that we don't get to see everyone every day! We are planning on visiting as soon as possible! But in the mean time, keep sending those pictures! I'm so glad everyone had a great Easter! We didn't do anything too crazy, but the weather was nice so we went on a walk! Oh by the way, make sure you're reading any comments that people leave after you post on the blog. It's nice read what people think about your pictures, and events! :)

Check out my Slide Show!

The J&T Family Update

Well if ya'll haven't heard yet I have left UPS after 7 years of service and I am loving what I am doing. We are helping non-profit charities through the use of annuities and me and my brother-in-law are one of only 25 agencies in the nation that are able to do this and we are having such great success.

This picture is of my family on Easter Sunday and don't the boys and me look so cute.......oh and Tasia but she wasn't matching us, and I thought it was totally obvious that she was beautiful anyway. I have to put this picture on the blog because this is one mixed up little boy or he is just getting in touch with his feminine side, either way it is hilarious.
Isn't he a peice of work! We love our Ryland and the little personality he brings to our family. Dandin is also growing up quick and he is moving everywhere as long as it is backwards. In this picture he had been scootin until he finally came to be stuck under the bed. He is also looking so cute in this picture. We also had alot of fun at the Easter get together at dads and sorry Jill but I am going to spoil some of the fun by showing these pictures of Ben with the puppie Charlie that Randi has.

In case you can't tell Ben is saying "don't that tickles". The puppie loved to chew on Ben's foot and he just smiled. These kids love being at grandpas and playing on the grass in the backyard and of course here my kids are just looking scared of the little puppie. A couple of weeks ago we were able to plant some more plants in our front ayrd and the kids helped us and they had so much fun. We not only planted stuff but we also drove the tractor and you would think that Ryland would love that but Tasia was the one who loved it the most.

I am so glad that Tasia is a daddy's girl, sometimes it can be frustrating like when she goes to bed at night but I try to see pass the fact that she will come to a point in her life that she will no longer want me to tuck her in. I am thankful for my family. We got to see President Hinckley today in my in-laws ward here in Leeds and that was a special experience for Tasia. He comes here often after conferences to get away and relax in a house the church owns here.
Well we love all of you and know that we are doing well and that Heavenly Father really does answer prayers and guides us to where we need to be. Joe please come see us as soon as possible. I want you to come and see our house that we love so much. Oh and I almost forgot here are some pictures of Zoey and Kiera for the Hunt's and Sheets who don't get to see them as much. Tasia and Kiera are praying at conference.

Easter Bunny..er... Benny :)

Happy Easter everyone!!!! These are just a couple of pics from Ben's first Easter. I forgot to take Ben to meet the "real" Easter bunny yesterday-- there were several around town...so, I dug through one of my drawers (cough, cough) and found some items that we could use to make our own bunny.
I think he's way cuter than any other bunny we could have found at the mall or what not, don't you? Who can honestly resist that cotton tail?
We gave him his Easter basket after we feed him this morning. We got it at Wal-Mart last night. (We saw Heather Davenport there as well, so at least we weren't the only ones getting their Easter items late). Matter of fact, it was packed full of people doing the same thing-- however; Ben's perfect Easter basket was waiting just for us (to show the Easter Bunny of course). It was sitting in a bin of other picked-through baskets--- there is was in plain sight--- A BASEBALL EASTER BASKET!! It is one of those wooden baskets and the bottom part is painted like a baseball--- it's too cute and too perfect for our little baseball player.
We went to grandpa's yesterday for a family BBQ. We really missed our AZ & NC Hunts/Sheets!!
Randi bought a puppy-- it's soooo cute! It's a beagle and she named him Charlie. The name is a perfect fit for a cute little pup. Ben had his first dog encounter, but, I forgot to load those pics before doing this blog. We'll make sure to get some up there soon.
Well--- have a great week. We hope to see some Easter pics soon from everyone else. Egg hunts, easter clothes-- whatever you did-- share with us!
Sure do love each of you!!!!
